Arena Harrows & Groomers

You've invested in your horse, you've invested in your arena......now it's time to protect those investments with an arena harrow or drag that can properly maintain your footing.

Hundreds of References Available!!!!

Scroll through our selection of harrows and choose from the following:

RED MASTER HARROW

This drag was designed to prepare the best possible working surface in horse arenas with or without a knowledgeable tractor operator. The Red Master Harrow will maintain a level surface including the kick boards. You have total control of the working depth of the air pockets (cush). The float bar will also compress your surface to maintain consistency. This harrow is excellent for winter and summer maintenance - most harrows will not do both.

Due to its free standing capabilities (on tires), the Red Master Harrow is one of the most goof proof horse arena implements on the market today: it does not allow you to scrape down to the base. Not only does it work up the footing surface - the spring teeth work the footing by adding air to the footing, which is your "cush" to any desirable depth that you wish - but it is also a leveling device for your horse ring. Two pieces of tractor equipment for the price of one!

RED MASTER II

Red MatsterII w/PaddleWheel

The Red Master II is ideal for show facilities and oversized arenas because the extra teeth allow for more dragging with less passes, thereby reducing maintenance time.

MINI RED

Mini Red For those facilities without a tractor, we offer a MINI RED, that can be pulled behind a quad, a Mule, a Gator or any hitch pin attachment.

RED MASTER TR

The Red Master TR harrow is designed for use with synthetic footings. The guide wheels and tires (with 3 tire height adjustments) control consistency and depth. Both rows of tynes adjust the depth with one turnbuckle, while the 3-point supplies additional depth control. The paddle wheel roller is an 8" diameter pipe used to tighten up the surface and the coil tynes act as a rake to "tickle" the footing surface without digging in too much.

PADDLEWHEEL OPTION

Paddle Wheel The Paddle Wheel attachment is most commonly used in rings with felt or other fabric material in that it helps add “fluff” and maintain consistency.  Easily removes and attaches to replace the standard float-pan/blade with 2 hitch pins.

TOW BAR ADAPTER

TowBarAdapter The turnbuckle, connecting the tow bar to the uppermost neck of the harrow, provides adjustment to the s-tynes and the float pan to allow a clean ring exit. The picture to the left shows an 8 foot Red Master ll being towed by a pickup truck.

Platz-Max Arena Groomers

Platz-Max with Tractor
  • Much research has gone into the best way to condition and groom modern surfaces and textilies.
  • The lack of water will cause any fiber to move to the top of the footing material. Therefore a deeper blending of footing material with fiber is necessary.
  • By adjusting the working depth, the machine conforms easily to the respective surface to achive the required results.
  • There is a counter rotating feed gear inside the roller. It preventsthe plugging of the roller by the footing materials. This makes it an all purpose tool for the professional maintenance of different types of surfaces. It is very easy to change the depth if the tines and can be adjusted within minutes to suit your surface.

Platz-Max Tow Behind

  • To make the Platz-Max even more universal, we developed the Platz-Max-Roll.
  • This arena conditioner has its own chassis.
  • As a result of this, the number of vehicles that can pull this groomer is nearly unlimited.
  • The wheels can be lifted with an independent hydraulic pump.
  • The raised chassis does not influence the function of the 'Platz-Max'.
  • For parking and travelling the chassis must be lowered again.

Parma Arena Groomer

The unit uses vibrating "S" tines that can be set to your desired digging depth to leave a well-prepared base.  Following the tines is a leveling bar that will shave off high spots and carry dirt to fill holes as you pass over the arena.  To the rear of the machine is a roller that conditions the surface and also gauges the depth of the tines to leave a uniform finish on your arena.
